Cannabis butter is the ultimate classic among cannabis bases – versatile enough for brownies, cookies, or pasta. It optimally combines fat and active ingredient, ensuring even THC absorption.     Zubereitung

    1. Preparation & Decarboxylation:

      Roughly chop or grind your dried flowers. Place them in an ovenproof glass jar or heatproof dish, loosely cover, and heat for 40 minutes at 100°C (convection oven). If you are using rosin, seal it in a glass jar and also place it in the oven at 100°C (convection oven) for 20–25 minutes, until hardly any bubbles rise to the surface.     2. Extraction:

      Heat the butter to approximately 95°C – ideally in a double boiler or using a melting pot. If you don't have a thermometer, briefly dip your finger into the melted butter: if it quickly becomes too hot to keep your finger in, the temperature is correct. Add the decarboxylated flowers to the butter and let it simmer for at least 3 to 12 hours. If you are using rosin, stir it in only briefly until it is completely dissolved in the butter.
    3. Filter:

      If you used cannabis flowers, filter them out of the butter while it's still warm. Strain the butter through a fine sieve or cheesecloth. You can then discard the plant material, as you've already extracted the active ingredients. This step is unnecessary if you're using rosin.
    4. Homogenize (optional):

      For a smooth consistency, you can add lecithin and briefly whip the butter with a hand blender. This ensures the fat and active ingredient combine perfectly.
    5. Storage & Use:

      Pour the warm butter into an ice cube tray for portioning or into clean jars. It will keep in the refrigerator for about 2–3 weeks, and in the freezer for several months. You can also use it immediately.
