Cannabis coconut oil
Cannabis coconut oil is one of the most popular plant-based alternatives to cannabis butter – completely vegan, long-lasting, and extremely versatile. Its liquid consistency and neutral taste have made it a favorite in edibles. The high fat content of MCT coconut oil dissolves THC particularly efficiently. It's perfect for baked goods, chocolates, energy balls, smoothies, or as a neutral base for medicinal edibles.

    Zubereitung

    1. Preparation & Decarboxylation:

Roughly chop or grind your dried flowers. Place them in an ovenproof glass jar or heatproof dish, cover loosely, and heat for 40 minutes at 100°C (convection oven). If you are using rosin, seal it in a glass jar and also place it in the oven at 100°C (convection oven) until hardly any bubbles rise in the rosin. 2. Extraction:

Heat the MCT oil to approximately 95°C – ideally in a double boiler or using a heatproof saucepan. If you don't have a thermometer, briefly dip your finger into the oil. If it quickly becomes too hot to keep your finger in, the temperature is correct. Add the decarboxylated flowers to the oil and let them simmer for at least 3 to 12 hours. If you are using rosin, stir it in only briefly until it is completely dissolved in the MCT oil.
    3. Filter:

If you used cannabis flowers, filter them out of the oil. To do this, strain the oil through a fine sieve or cheesecloth. You can then discard the plant material, as you have already extracted the active ingredients. This step is unnecessary with rosin.
    4. Homogenize (optional):

For a smooth consistency, you can add lecithin and briefly whisk the oil with a hand blender. This ensures that the fat and active ingredient combine perfectly.
    5. Bottling & Storage:

Pour the oil into small jars or silicone molds. Stored in a cool, dark place, it will keep for several months – even longer if frozen. This way you'll have a clean, stable cannabis-infused coconut oil that's perfect for edibles or medicinal applications.
